Abdi brings nearly 20 years of experience working within Walmart Inc. and the consumer-packaged goods industry. He understands how buyers think, what retailers need, and how to build partnerships that last. Today, Abdi leads buyer relationships and retail strategy at Grow Local Coffee—helping roasters scale thoughtfully into national retail without losing what makes them special.
Laura is passionate about discovering great brands and helping them grow with clarity and confidence. She spent five years as a buyer at Sam’s Club before moving into brokerage and sales leadership, where she became deeply fluent in retailer systems and processes. At Grow Local Coffee, Laura supports roasters through onboarding, item setup, content, and replenishment—making the retail journey approachable and manageable.
Mark is a local roaster in the hometown of Walmart, Bentonville, AR, who has successfully scaled his own coffee business into retail. He brings firsthand experience in sourcing green coffee, building retail ready packaging, and growing responsibly at scale. Mark helps roasters prepare for retail while staying true to quality, sourcing integrity, and
brand identity.
